THE BOOK OF DANIEL Chapter 9

9 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;

When the Babylon of old fell as we saw back in Daniel 5 which (in the futurist sense) looks forward to the seventh trumpet, the seventh vial and immediately after the half an hour written of in the seventh seal which is when the TRUE Christ returns as King of kings and Lord of lords, destroying the Babylon of the end times.

2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

A type of the seventy evenings that begin at 666, when the desolator (i.e. Satan in his role of antichrist) appears in Jerusalem.

Again: we will see in this chapter seventy weeks of years:

The 69th Week ended when Christ Jesus paid the price on the cross for one and all times followed by the gap which ends with Daniel’s 70th Week which begins with the woe of the fifth trumpet when the four beasts we read of in Daniel 7 and 8 emerge.

This is followed by the deadly wound you can read of in Revelation 13 after which Satan appears at the woe of the sixth trumpet as the antichrist: the little horn (a.k.a. the king of Babylon of the end times) and after the final two and a half months of the five month long hour of temptation (or seventy evenings which are what the seventy years in captivity to the Babylon of old were a type of) the Babylon of the end times falls when the TRUE Christ returns at the woe of the seventh trumpet, ending Daniel’s 70th Week which was seven years but as you can see in Revelation 9:5 and 10 has been shortened to five months.

Covered in Daniel 9 will be the seventy years, followed by seventy weeks of years, ending with the seventy evenings in the last half of Daniel’s 70th Week.

3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

4 And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, (which means the great and revered God as you can see in the Strong’s Concordance) keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

Looking forward to the New Covenant and (ultimately) the remnant of the woman’s seed written of in Revelation 12:17 which keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ which will be only those of the Zadok initially but then after the Holy Spirit speaks through them the 144,000 and whosoever will are grafted back into God’s family tree becoming the remnant of the woman’s seed also.

The woman written of in Revelation 12 begins (in this world age) as ‘Israel’ according to the flesh but once the Lord Jesus Christ Who is the woman’s Seed as well as Abraham’s Seed (singular not plural) died on the cross ‘Israel’ became all who believe upon the only begotten Son of God.

And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. -Galatians 3:29

5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

The third that will die spiritually in the midst of Daniel’s 70th Week being most Christians because they are ignorant of the truth of God’s Word.

6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

This word translated as ‘land’ is erets in the Hebrew, meaning all the people of the earth.

The Word of the Father (through the prophets) being preserved for all the people of the earth to read and hearken to but instead they (for the most part) do everything but study God’s Word chapter by chapter and verse by verse.

This is why most Christians will be deceived into worshipping the Devil instead of Christ (which is what ‘antichrist’ means) at the sixth seal, the sixth trumpet and the sixth vial.

7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God, which why it is only through the Lord Jesus Christ that any of us can return to the Father and hearken diligently to His Voice which is the word of God.

This is how we can receive the blessings of Deuteronomy 28 as opposed to the curses which include being deceived, whether it be now by the four hidden dynasties of the Kenites or at 666 in the Great Apostasy when the virgin bride of Christ (for the most part) becomes the whore of Babylon.

‘Babylon’ means confusion.

8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.

9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

When those of the seven thousand Zadok are delivered up and the Holy Spirit speaks through them during the sixth trumpet the 144,000 will repent along with many of those with free will.

They will come out of Babylon at that time which is when they will be grafted back into God’s family tree which is the many-membered body of the TRUE Christ.

10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

Moses being a prophet also who foretold of the arrival of Christ Jesus in His first advent as you can see in Deuteronomy 18:15:

“The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto Him ye shall hearken”

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Living Word we must believe upon in order to have everlasting life in the Promised Land which is ultimately the third world age.

11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

The curse of Deuteronomy 28 which even leads up to Daniel’s 70th Week when Satan and his fallen angel locust army are cast from heaven to earth at the woe of the fifth trumpet: the nation (which can even mean ‘a flight of locusts’ as you can see in the Strong’s Concordance) of fierce countenance written of in Deuteronomy 28:50.

The locust army have a king over them as we know from Revelation 9:11 and Satan is the king of fierce countenance we read of in Daniel 8:25 when he appears as the antichrist at the woe of the sixth trumpet.

12 And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil:

As promised in Deuteronomy 28.

They brought it upon themselves and we bring it upon ourselves when we do not hearken diligently to the voice of our heavenly Father.

for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem. which is where Satan will appear as the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet the TRUE Christ warned us of in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21.

13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

By reading His word with understanding through Christ Jesus chapter by chapter and verse by verse whereby we are not deceived.

14 Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us:

The northern and southern kingdoms of Israel and Judah were taken into captivity by the Assyrian and the king of Babylon (both types of the antichrist) and the captivity of the end times is a captivity of the mind: the deception that will cause Israel (which is Christianity: the natural branches of God’s family tree as well as those grafted in) to worship Satan instead of Christ.

for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.

Which is how we bring the curse of Deuteronomy 28 upon ourselves and the only way to reverse it (on an individual basis) is to hearken diligently to the voice of the Lord our God chapter by chapter and verse by verse with understanding.

Only the Lord Jesus Christ can open our understanding, that we might understand the scriptures as you can see in Luke 24:45.

15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. -1 John 1:8-9

Christ having paid the price for one and all times at the end of the 69 weeks (i.e. 483 years) beginning the gap that ends when the five month long hour of temptation begins.

16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.

In the futurist sense, Jerusalem spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt once Satan appears there as the false christ, but when the TRUE Christ returns Jerusalem will be the geographical location in which the millennial temple is set up as you can see in the last 8 chapters of the book of Ezekiel.

17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.

Again: the sanctuary will be cleansed after those seventy evenings we read of in the last chapter which is the last half of Daniel’s 70th Week written of in the last verse of this chapter.

18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: the many-membered body of Christ being what gets made desolate (for the most part) at the sixth trumpet for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance by believing upon the TRUE Christ which is how we become citizens of the heavenly Jerusalem written of in Hebrews 12:22.

We become citizens of the Jerusalem which is above when we repent and believe upon the only begotten Son of God.

19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

The many-membered body of Christ (throughout the globe) in the ultimate futurist sense and those that come out of the confusion (which is what ‘Babylon’ means) because of what the Holy Spirit will say through those who are delivered up in the latter half of the hour of temptation will be gathered to Jerusalem at the seventh trumpet immediately after the tribulation of those days to serve in the millennial priesthood who are the good figs (as opposed to the evil figs) you can read of in Jeremiah 24.

20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, (which is now all who are baptized into Christ Jesus) and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God;

21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

24 Seventy weeks (490 years) are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: (69 weeks total, or 483 years) the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, (which is when Christ Jesus was crucified) but not for Himself:

From 454 B.C., which was the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem which is recorded in Nehemiah 2:1 to 29 A.D. (the date of the crucifixion) was exactly 483 years, or 69 weeks of years followed by the gap that we also see between the type and the actuality back in Daniel 2.

and the people of the prince that shall come (notice the lowercase p) shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood,

looking forward to the flood of deception that comes out of Satan’s mouth at the woe of the sixth trumpet when he appears as the false messiah in Jerusalem in the midst of Daniel’s 70th Week (called also the hour of temptation, which was seven years but has been shortened to five months) which begins when Satan and his angels are cast from heaven to earth at the woe of the fifth trumpet.

and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:

Again: this ‘week’ was seven years, but those days (meaning those seven days which are symbolic of years) have been shortened as you can see in Mark 13:20 and as we know from Revelation 9: those seven years have been shortened to five months.

Five lunar cycles of 28 add up to 140 and the five month long hour of temptation is split in half:

The final seventy evenings (or two and a half moons) begin at the woe of the sixth trumpet when Satan appears as the antichrist: the abomination of desolation as he is called by the TRUE Christ in Mark 13:14.

The five months begin when the one world political system emerges which is what this ‘covenant with many’ has reference to.

The dragon (which is Satan) is who gives the one world political system its power, seat and great authority but then it gets wounded to death after which satan appears as the antichrist in Jerusalem.

and in the midst of the week in the middle of the five month long hour of temptation at the sixth seal, the sixth trumpet and the sixth vial he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, meaning instead of believing upon the TRUE Christ and His blood that was shed on the cross and His body that was broken to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself (which is what Communion is symbolic of) most Christians will begin worshipping Satan instead of Christ at that time and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, (because he is the desolator who appears in Jerusalem at 666) even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The seventh vial is when Satan’s role of antichrist and his one world system are destroyed which is immediately after that half an hour written of in the seventh seal which means immediately after the last two and a half months of the five month long hour of temptation at the seventh trumpet.

Satan appears as the false christ at 666 and the TRUE Christ does not return until 777 immediately after Daniel’s 70th Week, which was seven years, but is now shortened to five months:

the hour of temptation.
