1 Belshazzar the king (a type of the king of Babylon of the end times, which is Satan when he appears as the antichrist in Jerusalem at the sixth trumpet) made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine (which is symbolic of the wine of the fornication of the whore of Babylon written of in the book of Revelation) before the thousand.
Babylon means confusion and when all six trumpets of deception are sounding at the same time most Christians will become the whore of Babylon as opposed to the virgin bride that waits for the TRUE Husband to return at the seventh trumpet.
2 Belshazzar, (who was Nebuchadnezzar’s grandson and the final historical king of the Babylon of old) whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein.
3 Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; (which, again, is where Satan will appear at the sixth trumpet as the false christ, the king of Babylon of the end times) and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.
The head of gold we saw in Daniel 2 being symbolic of the Christian nations (the lion of Daniel 7) until the sixth trumpet, which is when they will cease to be Christians because they will begin worshipping Satan instead of Christ (which is what ‘antichrist’ means) at that time which is when the head of gold becomes the king of Babylon of the end times and the virgin bride (for the most part) becomes the whore of Babylon.
4 They drank wine,
Which, again, is symbolic of the wine of the fornication of the whore of Babylon in the futurist sense.
and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron,
As we saw in Daniel 2 with that image, which is ultimately symbolic of the one world system made up of the lion, the bear, the leopard and the exclusively supernatural fourth beast of Daniel 7.
of wood, and of stone.
The two horns like a lamb you can read of in Revelation 13:11 Satan will have when he appears as the false christ claiming to be the tree of life and the TRUE Rock when, in all reality, he is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the false rock, called the king of Tyrus (which means rock) in Ezekiel 28.
The TRUE Christ is the tree of life as well as the TRUE Rock that destroys Satan’s one world religious system (the Babylon of the end times) as we saw back in Daniel 2.
5 In the same hour (looking forward to the end of the hour of temptation when the Babylon of the end times falls) came forth fingers of a man’s hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king’s palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
6 Then the king’s countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.
7 The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.
8 Then came in all the king’s wise men: but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation thereof.
9 Then was king Belshazzar greatly troubled, and his countenance was changed in him, and his lords were astonied.
10 Now the queen by reason of the words of the king and his lords came into the banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed:
11 There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; (in all reality, THE Holy God: singular, not plural) and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;
Notice the words understanding and wisdom appear in this verse (as we also see in Revelation 13:18) looking forward to Satan’s appearance as the antichrist in Jerusalem (the king of Babylon of the end times) at the sixth seal, the sixth trumpet and the sixth vial. That word ‘count’ in Revelation 13:18 means to enumerate stones worn smooth whereby we understand that the children of the devil who are the Kenites came from the false rock and are the natural branches of Satan’s family tree.
Satan himself is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
12 Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.
13 Then was Daniel brought in before the king. And the king spake and said unto Daniel, Art thou that Daniel, which art of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Jewry?
14 I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee.
15 And now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing:
16 And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.
17 Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.
18 O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:
19 And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down.
20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:
Looking forward to when Satan is locked up in the bottomless pit at the seventh trumpet as we saw in the last chapter.
21 And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.
Which is when Nebuchadnezzar ceased to be a type of the antichrist, but here we see the final historical king of Babylon in Belshazzar when the Babylon of old fell.
Notice the pride here once again: pride within himself being the reason Satan fell in the first world age when he was sentenced to perish which is why he is called the son of perdition in 2 Thessalonians 2:3.
22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven;
Just as Satan opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped as you can see in 2 Thessalonians 2:4.
and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them;
Which, again, looks forward to the wine of the fornication of the whore of Babylon in the apostasia at 666.
and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, (adding up to six) which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:
24 Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.
25 And this is the writing that was written, Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin.
26 This is the interpretation of the thing: Mene; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
27 Tekel; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
28 Peres; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.
In the futurist sense, at the seventh trumpet, when the TRUE Christ returns He will destroy Satan’s one world system which is what the image of Daniel 2 is symbolic of: the gold, silver, brass and iron as well as Satan’s role of the antichrist which is what the wood and the stone are symbolic of.
Notice in Revelation 9 beginning with verse 13 when all six trumpets of deception are sounding at the same time and ‘the third part of men‘ (most Christians) are killed spiritually we see in the last two verses:
And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
Notice the iron is missing.
Daniel’s fourth beast, symbolized by iron in Daniel 2 as well as Daniel 7, is exclusively supernatural and within that fourth beast is Satan’s role of the antichrist, the little horn of Daniel 7, which is what kills that third spiritually.
The other two-thirds are dead already.
You cannot be killed spiritually if you are already part of Satan’s family tree which is what happens when someone does not believe upon the only begotten Son of God.
They are grafted into Satan’s family tree along with the Kenites, those stones worn smooth that come from the false rock, who are the natural branches of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
The TRUE Christ does not return as King of kings and Lord of lords until the seventh trumpet, that Stone we see in Daniel 2 (the TRUE Rock) that destroys Satan’s one world system along with his role of the antichrist which is when Satan is locked up in the bottomless pit until the thousand years are finished.
29 Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
30 In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.
Looking forward to the destruction of Satan’s role of antichrist (which is called also the false prophet) at the seventh trumpet which is also when his one world system (a.k.a. the beast) will be destroyed as you can see in Revelation 19:20.
31 And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.
